How can I get a free estimate?

Do I need to be present for the estimate?

It is usually helpful so that any questions you or the estimator may have about the fence style or location can be answered at that time.  If it is not convenient for you to be present during the appointment, your estimator will still be able to view the property and then discuss the fence with you by phone. 

 

 

How long do I have to wait  for my estimate/bid to arrive through email?

 

Due to high volume of estimate/bid request, please allow 5-7 days for your bid to arrive through email.

 

 

Do I need to have my property surveyed?

All properties were at one time surveyed and steel stakes were placed at the corners of your property.  DLC Express Fencing, LLC does have metal locators and unless the survey stakes have been removed it is likely that we can locate them for you.  However, we are not surveyors and we cannot verify the accurate location of any stakes that we may find.  If we are unable to locate the stakes or if you think they may have been moved from their original location, a survey performed by a registered surveyor may be a wise decision. 


Do I need a permit and are there any ordinances or requirements concerning fences?

It depends on were the property is located.  We can advise you as to whether a permit is required or if there any known restrictions based on the most recent information we have for your area.  However, since each community has its own requirements we recommend that you check with your local municipality or homeowners association just to be sure.  If a permit is required, it is our customer’s responsibility to obtain.  The cost is usually minimal. 

 

 

Can DLC Express Fencing, LLC provides plan drawings and permit routing?

Yes we do with an extra fee. Our company's goal is to provide a Stress Free Project to our customers and we're here to help you from start to completion of your project. When getting an estimate, let us know you need it and we'll add it on our bid.

 

 

Will DLC Express Fencing, LLC arrange to have the buried utilities located?

Yes, we will contact Utilities Hotline to have the public utilities (gas, electric, telephone, cable TV) marked prior to beginning installation.  There will be an extra charge to our customers for this service.  Any fence posts that will be within 18” of the existing buried utilities will need to be moved beyond 18”or else they will have to be dug by hand which will slightly increase the cost.  Privately installed utilities (ex: electric lines to yard lights or between a house and a detached garage, gas lines to grills, buried sprinkler lines, etc.) will not be located by DLC Express Fencing, LLC  It is our customer’s responsibility to inform us of any privately installed utilities. 

 

 

Will a fence add value to my property?

A properly installed fence made of quality materials will almost always increase the value of your property and will enable you to better utilize your yard.  A fenced backyard will provide a safe and secure area for your pets and children and can provide increased privacy.  Almost every study has shown that homes with fenced yards are more desired and sell faster than homes without fenced yards. 

 

 

Does DLC Express Fencing, LLC sell materials only?

No, If you have had experience installing fences before and have the correct equipment, we do not recommend attempting to install it yourself.  A properly installed fence is an investment that will increase the value of your property but an improperly installed fence will have the opposite effect and will become a liability. 

 

What type of fence lasts the longest?

There are several fencing options available that provide a long-lasting solution. Please see our Fencing Types section to learn more.

 

 

What is difference between Home Depot/ Lowes fence and your fence?
There are several differences between our vinyl fence and a bracketed style of vinyl fence that is typically sold by Home Depot. The major difference is the quality. Our routed vinyl fence has thicker vinyl walls, more ultraviolet inhibitors to prevent discoloration and is fabricated, not glued together. The result is a much stronger fence that is seamless in its structure and will not come apart because adhesion is lost. Another major difference is that our fence does not require brackets or fasteners during installation so there are no unsightly sharp metal objects to protrude from the fence and discolor the vinyl over time.

 

How fast can you install a Fence or Gate?

Every project is unique, With each size and how the project is design can sometimes hard for us to project the time of completion until we have the approved plans and final approved bid. An example of an average size yard (200 to 300 linear feet) will take us approx. two days to complete. One day to set the post, the next day to erect the fence. Unfortunately our job requires excavating holes to set fence post. Digging is what sets the tone on the job-site. There is no way of telling what we might run into until we start the job so keep an extra day aside just in case. One to two gates will require a day of installation excludes fabrication time.

 

 

Does DLC Express Fencing, LLC repair fences and gates?

Yes.  We estimate and repair almost every type of fence regardless of whether we originally installed it.

DLC Express Fencing, LLC Provides a one (1) Year Limited Workmanship Warranty and Limited Manufactures Warranties for Materials. See below for a breakdown of Warranties:

Aluminum Fence and Gates Installed - 1 Year DLC Express Fencing, Limited Workmanship Warranty and  Limited Lifetime Manufacturer's Warranty.

 

Wrought Iron Galvanized Steel Fence & Gates Installed -  1 Year DLC Express Fencing Limited Workmanship Warranty, NO Material Warranty.

 

Wrought Iron Mild Steel Fence & Gates Installed -  1 Year DLC Express Fencing Limited Workmanship Warranty, NO Material Warranty.

 

 

Chain Link Fence & Gates Installed -  1 Year DLC Express Fencing Limited Workmanship Warranty, NO Material Warranty.
